Welcome to Peterson Outfitters! Peterson Outfitters welcomes everyone of every hunting ability. Peterson Outfitters was started in 2007 and offers guided hunts for Elk, Deer, and Antelope on the family owned working cattle ranch that goes back five generations. We are located in Carbon County, the southeast part of Wyoming, near Walcott Junction. Nearby towns include Rawlins, Saratoga, and Elk Mountain. Our hunting areas span 160,000 acres of private and public lands. Our lands consist of high desert country with sage brush, aspen groves, numerous rocky ridges, canyons, and extensive hay meadows where wildlife thrive. We also have 7 miles of beautiful private river bottom on the North Platte River.
We strive to provide you the best possible hunt that is enjoyable and exciting. We hunt in big open Wyoming country that stretches for miles and miles. Hunts will be guided by Josh Peterson, owner/ professional outfitter, or Roger Cox, a professional guide with 25 plus years experience. Hunts are done in comfortable 4x4 vehicles where stops will be made at vantage points to spot game. We also have blinds at watering holes to cater to archery hunters. Lunch, snacks, and beverages will be provided during hunts. We will take care of harvested animals for you by transporting to processor and/or taxidermist if needed. Before hunts start guns can be sighted in at our ranches private gun range. We look forward to meeting you!
